NIGERIAN CREATES AFRICAN THEMED BOARD GAMES

Kenechukwu Ogbuagu KC is a 25 year old Nigerian Board Game designer based in Abuja.

Kenechukwu began designing board games in 2013, during the ASUU (Academic Staff Union of Universities) Strike. He was bored and had a light bulb moment.

Over the years, he has come to believe that the decision to design board games was as a result of a compelling passion to fight poverty through information and communication. He realizes that board games are a great tool to influence people’s mindsets, increase educational outcomes, raise awareness on global issues and best of all, to have fun!

Kenechukwu and his team have 13 published games and 15 prototypes.

“When I design, I channel the energy around me – the people, the experience, the folklores – to the game, and it somehow became a tool to share stories and experiences I am familiar with.” – Kenechukwu Ogbuagu KC
